How Connect works with Discord
Connect installs a virtual microphone and speaker on your computer. Inside Discord's device settings, you select Connect Mic as your input device and Connect Speaker as your output device. Everything you say gets translated in real time and delivered in the target language — the other person hears you in their language with no setup required on their side.
Setup — 3 steps
- Download and open Connect. Press CONNECT-ON to activate.
- In Discord, open User Settings (the cogwheel next to your name, bottom-left) → Voice & Video. Set Input Device to Connect Mic and Output Device to Connect Speaker.
- Choose your source and target language in Connect, then start your call.
What the other person experiences
Nothing changes on their side. They join Discord as usual and hear your translated voice directly — no plugin, no invite, no account required.

Tips for Discord specifically
- Discord applies noise suppression by default. Go to Voice & Video → Noise suppression and set it to Off or Low for best results with Connect.

- If you use Discord in a browser, select Connect Mic and Connect Speaker in the browser's permission prompt when joining a call.
