Overview of the Connect Portal

The Portal is where you prepare voices, vocabulary, context, history, preferences, and organization access before a call.

Open the Portal

Follow the steps below in order to complete this part of the workflow and verify the result before moving on. Confirm the active account, organization, and permission level before editing settings or comparing reported values. Refresh the relevant view after each change and check that the expected user or group remains selected.

  • Sign in to the Connect desktop app.
  • Select Portal from the app's advanced-configuration link or account menu.
  • Use Back to Connect in the lower-left corner when you are finished.
The Portal and desktop app use the same Connect account. Changes such as a selected voice or activated context may need a moment to appear in an already-open app.

The Connect Portal uses a persistent left navigation and task-focused workspace.

Portal sections

Each Portal area controls a different part of the Connect experience. Use this overview to find the setting you need. Refresh the relevant view after each change and check that the expected user or group remains selected. Document dates, identifiers, and visible status messages when the result differs from the expected account state.

Voice Library

Create a voiceprint, generate a language variant, preview available voices, and choose the voice used in Connect.

Pronunciation Dictionaries

Teach Connect how names, brands, acronyms, and specialist terms should be pronounced.

Conversation Context

Create topic profiles with vocabulary and expected languages, then activate the right profile before a call.

Transcription Histories

Review available conversation text and speaker labels according to your account and transcription settings.

Profile & Preferences

Manage notification, region, voice-matching, transcription-folder, password, and audio reset options.

Team Management

Enterprise admins can invite agents, allocate monthly credits, and review seats and usage.

Voice Library

The library contains Connect voices you can preview and select. Use Add Your Voiceprint to create a voice from a clean sample, or Create Variant to carry an existing voiceprint into another language. Document dates, identifiers, and visible status messages when the result differs from the expected account state.

  • Filter deliberately: narrow the library by language, gender, category, and accent.
  • Preview the result: listen before selecting a voice for an important call.
  • Name team assets clearly: use distinct names for personal voiceprints and language variants.

Pronunciation and context tools

Use a pronunciation dictionary for exact spoken forms. Use Conversation Context for broader subject matter, likely language pairs, and specialist vocabulary. Refresh the relevant view after each change and check that the expected user or group remains selected. Document dates, identifiers, and visible status messages when the result differs from the expected account state.

Profile, preferences, and audio reset

Profile preferences apply to your Connect account. The Reset Virtual Audio action is a recovery tool: use it when Connect audio devices are missing or damaged, then restart Connect and your calling app. Record the working device names and settings so the same result can be reproduced on the next call.

Team Management

When your account is an organization admin, an additional section appears for seats and agents. You can invite an agent by email, assign credits within the plan limit, review pending invites, and see usage totals. Contract limits remain read-only; contact Connect to change them. These details prevent changes from being applied in the wrong context.

Role-based visibility: personal accounts and non-admin members do not see Team Management. This is expected and does not indicate a portal error.

Frequently asked questions

These answers explain how Portal settings relate to the desktop app, personal assets, and organization administration. Confirm the active account and role before comparing two users or changing a shared resource. Refresh an already-open Connect session when a newly selected voice, context, or permission does not appear immediately.

Do the Portal and desktop app use the same account?

Yes. Both surfaces use the same Connect account and organization membership. A voice, context profile, or preference changed in the Portal may require a short refresh or a reopened desktop session before it appears.

Why can’t I see Team Management?

Team Management is visible only to organization administrators with the required access. Personal accounts and standard members should not see it; that role-based difference is expected and does not indicate a Portal error.

When should I use a pronunciation dictionary instead of Conversation Context?

Use a pronunciation dictionary when a specific name, brand, acronym, or term must be spoken a particular way. Use Conversation Context when the whole call has a subject area, expected vocabulary, or language pattern that Connect should anticipate.

When should I use Reset Virtual Audio?

Use it only as a recovery action when the Connect virtual devices are missing or damaged. Save the current device names, run the reset, restart Connect and the calling application, then restore and test the complete route.
